So Avatar came out this weekend in theaters all around the world. So my wife and I, accompanied with a group of friends went to go check it out. So how can I describe what I saw… if you’re a geek it was like watching Starwars for the first time and being totally lost in the world that was unfolding before your eyes. If your not a nerd remember when you watched The Karate Kid for the first time and Daniel son lands the crane kick into Johnny’s face and you want to jump out of your seat and hug every one around you as if it were you one who just molly woped Johnny. That’s what watching Avatar for the first time is like. It’s a truly amazing move. I know a lot of people who are complaining about the script and the dialog of the movie but I thought it was all very well done and if that’s a bad script writing or bad story telling what hope is there for a small filmmaker like me. James Cameron is at the top of his game. I have always been a Titanic fan and I have got a lot of criticism for being one for years but hey I think it’s a great movie and I am totally convinced that James Cameron is not only one of the greatest directors of all time but also one of the greatest story tellers of all time. The pacing of his movies are perfect you never feel like its time to move on because before you feel that way the movie already has done just that and your in a new experience. I’m not going to write any spoilers in the review I just want to encourage every one to see this movie. Don’t wait to see it on a DVD or Blu-ray because this movie needs to be seen on the big screen to take every thing in and that will probably take several viewings. I wish I could have been a part of this movie in some way because its that good but maybe I’ll have enough experience to be a part of James Cameron’s next movie because I know it will be ground breaking just like all his other movies. GO SEE THIS MOVIE
